Hai cercato l’amore dappertutto,
è inutile fare l’elenco:
le conosci bene le cantine, le coppe
di vino avvelenato, le folate
di vento che scompigliano
i fogli della vita.
Ma ora hai capito:
è elementare, come la faccia
di un bambino, come il sole
che sorge tra le foglie dell’abete,
laggiù, come il Corpo caldo di Dio,
come l’amore alle origini del mondo,
questo caffè in cui assaggio
la mia Quiete.
